Cinemum

The next Cinemum morning is taking place during the Carnival mid-term holidays, on Monday 20th February, from 10am. 11 theatres will be screening movies that morning, giving those attending a wide variety to choose from, and films to suit every taste. Films for the day include the highly anticipated blockbusters: The Muppets (2D) and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in 3D.

Oliver Twist

On the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, Teatru Manoel and American Drama Group Europe (ADGE) proudly present TNT Theatre-Britain in an adaptation of Dickens' best loved hero, Oliver Twist – The play is directed by Paul Stebbings, whose production for the Manoel last year of One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, was a hit with audiences, presents the facts through Fagin’s eyes.

The Grasshopper and the Ant

Based on Aesop’s well-loved fable, the story is about a grasshopper and an ant who become friends and friends in times of need. It is a triumphant tale of true friendship and the bonds of true friendship. The performance is going to be an exciting experience for children who in a child-friendly atmosphere will experience live quality music, great narration, fantastic costumed characters and great interactional fun.

It will be 80 minutes of great entertainment for children who will love the live music based on an adaptation of a classic work by Jules Massenet. Music, lively characters, interactive games, narration – all within these 80 minutes! The narrator and animator will be Abigail Williams and the accomplished pianist will be Ramona Zammit Formosa.

The performance is for children aged 5-10 but it will also be a chance for mums and dads to enjoy this performance of music, narration and fun with their children.
