In Guardia Re-Enactments at St Elmo   The IN GUARDIA PARADE is a re-enactment that portrays an authentic event that took place regularly inside Malta’s major fortifications of the Order of St. John.

The re-enactment portrays the inspection of the fort and its garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Order of the Knights of St. John in charge of military affairs. During the re-enactment, of the fort’s garrison - some 55 re-enactors in all - are kitted-out in their uniforms to perform their military drill to demonstrate to the Grand Bailiff its state of readiness. The show begins at 11.00 a.m. and lasts 40 minutes.

Sat 17th Jan - Sun 29th Mar 2015   The Only Real Ice Rink in Malta

The only real ice rink in Malta is open at BayStreet till the 29 March 2015, the rotunda on Level 0. Building on the success achieved last year, Bay Street have engaged the services of a professional figure skater from Paris, Florian Otaï, to give visitors and customers that little bit extra wow factor on the ice. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, together with the Cottonera Rehabilitation Committee and the Rehabilitation Projects Office, invite the public to attend a series of informative meetings.

Isla: 25 January at 09:45am at the Gwardjola Day Centre.
Kalkara: 22 February at 09:45am at Villa Bighi.
Birgu: 29 March at 09:45am at the Maritime Museum.
Bormla: 26 April at 09:45am at Baċir Numru Wieħed.

Those who wish to attend are kindly asked to reserve a place by contacting the respective local councils. The meetings will be in Maltese, free of charge and include a tour of the location. Meetings are set to end at 12:30pm.

Come and plant a tree with your friends and family. We want to give back to Mother Earth by planting baby trees that will flourish and grow, providing us with clean air and nutrients for years to come. For more information click here.
     

Sun 8th Mar 2015   Vortex Volunteer Day

We will be working on the land together as a community, giving back to the space. Those interested to do some hands on work at vortex, such as construction and gardening, or just chilling in nature.

Flying Superkids is a truly unique show from the Kingdom of Denmark - the only one of its kind in the world!

It started many years ago as a traditional gymnastics team, but has evolved into an internationally renowned show ensemble, and today the show has performed in more than 35 countries. Audiences of all ages are blown away by the show. Flying Superkids is a wonderful experience for the whole family.
