The Speech-Language Department offers a variety of services to individuals and their families with communication disorders. Intervention is provided on an individual level or in groups.
Programmes are typically held in Community/District Clinics, Schools, Hospitals and Residential Care settings. Other client programmes were developed to cater for children all over Malta and are carried out by Speech-Language Pathologists at the Speech-Language Department. Garden of Knowledge Malta Association is a registered educational organization promoting open-mindedness, exposure to and understanding of other cultures through workshops and events. Learning about other cultures is a good way to teach children about diversity acceptance and tolerance- Learn about Tetela Mask, Kuba Mask or Bwa Mask from Congo or Burkina Faso- Kids from 6 to 12 years old.

| Science Weekend Kid Club |

This Club is being organised by In The Family Way, and is meant for 5 – 10 year olds, with participation of parents in particular lessons. Course started on April 6th and is held on Saturdays at 2pm.

| Cartoons and Animation for Children |
| |
"Drawing in motion - Produce your own cartoon & animation" is a course for Children aged 8 to 10, organised by the Creative Arts Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri – Malta Committee.
The aim of the course is to offer a basic understanding of motion, starting from simple pencil drawing up to the creation of a short animation. By the end of the course children will be able to create an object in movement. The techniques used are mainly pencil and markers drawings, collages and photography. Artistic skills are not required. The course tutor is a seasoned Italian Art teacher and Graphic designer specialised in animation and cartoons. The course will be held in English although participants will also indirectly learn some basic Italian. The course is scheduled for April 2013 on Fridays and Saturdays for a total of 20 hours.
